1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They are used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure how a site is used. We also use related browser technologies — such as localStorage and sessionStorage — for similar purposes, and refer to all of these collectively as “cookies” in this policy.

2. How TermHarbor uses cookies

TermHarbor uses a small number of cookies to keep authenticated sessions active, remember workspace preferences, store your cookie consent choice, and measure aggregate product usage when you opt in. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising and we do not sell your personal information.

Non-essential cookies (analytics, preferences, marketing) are loaded only after you provide consent. You can change your choice at any time using the controls in section 8.

3. Necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the site and application to function. They cannot be disabled through the consent banner because the Service would not work without them.

• Session and authentication. Keep you signed in to the application and protect against session hijacking.
• Security. Help detect abusive requests and enforce basic protections such as CSRF safeguards.
• Consent storage. Remember your cookie consent choice (stored as the TermHarbor consent record on your device).
• Load balancing. Help route requests reliably to the right backend.

4. Analytics cookies

When you opt in, analytics cookies help us understand which pages and features are used so we can improve reliability and product experience. We use this data in aggregate, not to identify you personally to advertisers. If analytics is not yet active in your environment, your choice is still recorded and applied automatically as soon as analytics is added.

5. Preference cookies

When you opt in, preference cookies remember interface preferences such as theme, layout density, and recently used filters between visits, so you do not have to reconfigure them each time.

6. Marketing cookies

When you opt in, marketing cookies help us measure the effectiveness of our marketing pages — for example, understanding which pages led to a sign-up. We do not use cookies for cross-site behavioral advertising and we do not place advertising trackers from ad networks on this site.

7. Third-party cookies

Some features rely on third-party services (for example, hosting, authentication, or email delivery). Where those services set cookies, they do so to operate their part of the Service. Embedded content from third parties (such as videos or social embeds) is only loaded when explicitly placed on a page; we do not embed cross-site tracking pixels by default.

8. How to manage your cookie choices

You can change your cookie choices at any time using the cookie settings panel. Your choice is stored on your device and applies to future visits.

You can also use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every public page to reopen this panel.

9. Browser controls

Most browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. Search your browser’s help documentation for “cookies” to find these controls. Note that blocking necessary cookies will prevent the Service from working correctly — for example, you may not be able to stay signed in.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service, our subprocessors, or applicable law evolve. When we make a material change we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of TermHarbor after an update means you accept the revised policy.
